    BEFTN stand for Bangladesh Electronic Fund Transfer Network. The bank routing number of any bank in bangladesh is a nine digit identification number assigned to financial institutions or bank and this number identifies the specific financial institution or bank branch upon which a payment is drawn.

    How Does Bangladesh Bank Routing Number or BEFTN Code Work

    BEFTN operates both as a processing center and delivery center for the distribution and settlement of electronic credit and debit instruments among all the participating banks.     This is a special unique code or identifies number is generated with the combination of the first three digits bank code, next two digits means fourth & fifth digit is district code, then next three digits means sixth, seventh & eighth digit is branch code and at last one means nineth digit is cheque digit.
